Zoom In On Screen and Annotate with This Free Presentation Software

In technical presentations, you often need to highlight to the audience something on a computer screen. Sometimes you may want to zoom in on screen other times you may want to annotate. Without tools like this, it can be difficult for them to see what you’re pointing out and doing with your mouse cursor. A computer developer named Mark Russinovich created a free solution and has made it available for all of us!

Let’s take a look at a tool I recently discovered that can help you have better presentations and a more efficient team while on virtual team meetings.

With ZoomIt, you can zoom in on specific parts of the screen and annotate them so that others watching via screen share can see what you’re doing. And it’s lightweight, free, and you can download it directly from the Microsoft website. Because ZoomIt is mostly run by keyboard commands, I find it to be much better than Windows built-in zoom feature “Magnify”.

You can run the Magnifier app by finding its executable file, Magnify. But it’s much easier to use the built-in keyboard shortcuts:. After zooming the screen, you can use the mouse to pan to portions of the screen that aren’t currently visible. For anyone with less-than-perfect eyesight, the Magnifier tool can help prevent eyestrain.

I am having this problem too. And it is been tested on two other HP laptops where the same problem is occuring. That is, 2 Spectre 15 ‘s and a Pavillion. I connect Bluetooth and verify my headset is working using iTunes, or Youtube or other sound. The headset works, I hear the music. The setup is good! I have had it checked by the College Tech people who have helped hundreds of people with Zoom. In Zoom I have tested the mic and headphones.

Both work in Zoom, even though the music stops. On Microsoft, I have allowed all permissions for Zoom to use. The College Tech people verified the system permissions are in place as works for Zoom on other systems. I am a fitness instructor and wanting to play music for teaching classes, sharing my music playlists. I want to hear the music in the headphones. It just doesn’t work to play music in the background because of the conflict for the mic speaker vs. I know this should work, but, what is stopping me?

What do I need to turn on? Microsoft 10 and all my drivers, etc. I have deleted and reinstalled the Bluetooth and Audio drivers and Zoom.

I got this working, for a short while. It worked after I was sure my system was fully up-to-date with drivers and software.

Then in Zoom, for one day, the wireless earphones with mic worked. Since then it is stopped, no success. I am adding this reply to document my experience. If the Audio drops when in use, I suggest to have the Audio drivers completely uninstalled and reboot the PC. Here is how to do it. Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer. I tried it and unfortunately did not work. I still don’t have a solution though Viney Dhiman. Either stopping the music or leaving it going, I go into Zoom and the sound stops period, stops, no sound in the headphones. In Zoom I share the Computer and Sound. In Zoom, the sound source for the headphones is selected and the volume maxed. When I exit Zoom, the music resumes.

I am looking forward to a solution, Julie R. I have the same problem. It happened this month so I download the old version of zoom. So far so good. Brand new laptop, everything works great except when daughter is in a zoom meeting for 1st grade. Mic and Speaker fail, loud noise, either fan or speaker have to reboot whole laptop.

I have spent about 10 hours on this issue, including contacting Dell and reinstalling the drivers, checking all settings etc. This is extremely frustrating.
